Special Closings

Unless otherwise noted, The Historical Society Library hours are:

• Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• The Kiplinger Research Library is also closed on major holidays including July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day

Special Closing Policy
The Historical Society of Washington follows the closing policy of the District of Columbia government. When the District of Columbia government closes due to snow or other special circumstances, the Historical Society of Washington will also be closed. On rare occasions, the Kiplinger Research Library may close for a special event.
