The Bulldozer and the Rose A recreation of Garnet W. Jex's slide presentation, using his original script and images, chronicling the destruction of old Southwest Washington as it was being demolished for redevelopment between 1958 and 1964. 		Lincoln's Washington Created to honor the bicentennial of the President's birth, "Lincoln's Washington," explores the city of Washington as Abraham Lincoln would have experienced it, and provides glimpses into city life during the Civil War.  All of the images in the exhibit are from the Historical Society's photograph collections.
