Public Programs

The Historical Society of Washington, D.C. offers engaging, educational, and innovative public programs to help further the public's understanding of our nation’s capital. Programs feature prominent historians, writers, and thinkers in the country whose work commemorate, inspire, and inform visitors about the city's rich history.

While many of our programs and workshops are FREE and open to the public, the Society's members receive priority reservations and are invited to special members-only receptions. Please help support our programming by becoming a member or making a gift to the Historical Society.
