Public Programs

The Historical Society of Washington, D.C. offers engaging, educational, and innovative public programs to help further the public's understanding of our nation’s capital.

Often produced in partnership with our peer institutions throughout the area, our programs feature prominent historians, writers, and thinkers whose works commemorate, inspire, and inform visitors about the city's rich history.

While many of our programs and workshops are FREE and open to the public, the Society's members receive priority reservations and are invited to special members-only receptions.
